The Fw 190-A/F
So at the end of this rapid review the Focke Wulf 190 can be considered to be one of the best represented aircraft by both kit manufacturers and book publishers. All this proves how justifiably important and popular it is.
At the time of writing we decided to opt for the 1/48 scale that allows, in our opinion the best compromise between attention to detail and general dimension.
The choice of model, colour scheme and decals were more difficult as each plane needed to be both a good representation of the Fw 190's long career, different enough to offer an original composition and at the same time requiring different techniques, from the complete scratchbuilt to the usual minimum attention to detail.
We logically begin with the first prototype, a scratchbuild using a plaster block. We move on successively and in detail from the Fw 190 A-4 to the A-5 and the F-8, three models from the Tamiya range. Each one of these has been made as detailed as possible, choosing the best suited and most accurate accessories from the huge range available.
