Readers will gain an insight into her personality through a range of first-hand accounts and reflections on her writing practice. Coupled with scholarly articles by specialists in Northern Irish literature and culture, these various accounts offer a glimpse into the writer's craft. This publication also includes the exclusive translation of two short stories written by Jan Carson. The book highlights the collaboration between the author and Université de Lorraine students, secondary school pupils, book professionals and the general public, and looks back on the fourth edition of the ARIEL residency.
