Here, this The Original Gitanjali by Rabindranath Tagore goes back to the whole original 157 poems. Attempts to put these into English have recently been undertaken. But here, for the first time, is now the translation by an internationally renowned Bengali linguist and a Tagore specialist - a native poet-author, rendering the deep beauty of rhythm and sound of the Bengali language. In this milestone translation we find the authentic singing that Tagore lay before the world.
