In 1944, Allied logistics relied on the great resources offered by young America. The United States and Canada flew to assist the « Invincible Albion » from where the Allied assault on the old continent was to be launched. And given the exceptional stakes, exceptional human, financial and technical resources were deployed. They forged the colossal arsenal that would need to be transported, stored and provided to soldiers on the front. They were to lack absolutely nothing to ensure they quickly snatch victory. The fine and dazzling flower whose stem was in the form of military logistics and without which it would never blossom.
