Résumé

Un jeune immigré gambien explore le comportement des immigrés africains en France et plus particulièrement à Paris. ©Electre 2024

A young Gambian immigrant explores the contrasting philosophies of his fellows in Paris with regard to the West: staunch Pan-Africanism versus hard pro-Western.

He is amazed to discover that most of them regard themselves as superior to those who stay in Africa, and have very negative views about them. He is distressed to see that they lose their national identity. This story demonstrates the triviality and pointlessness of the attitude of some African immigrants. Will they come to their nationalistic senses, unite and learn from their errors, and stand strong for the Africa to which they owe so much, and which badly needs them?

A story that lifts the lid on the lives of Gambian immigrants in Paris - a world of tragedy, terror and futility, tempered by the voice of reason. This is a story that will show you a world you could never imagine.
