1928. Le projet est lancé. Kaj Gottlob, architecte, esquisse les plans de ce qui deviendra la Fondation danoise à Paris. Pouvait-il alors imaginer qu'aujourd'hui les résidents nommeraient son logement pour étudiants « la Maison » ?

Dans le parc de la Cité internationale universitaire, centenaire, le bâtiment en briques s'impose, monumental. Une architecture fonctionnaliste sobre et élégante, pensée dans les moindres détails. Havre de paix lumineux, calme et chaleureux, l'espace intérieur est propice au travail et au vivre-ensemble. Dans le grand salon, les peintures murales de Kraesten Iversen nous invitent à la concentration et à la contemplation.

Un lieu qui s'adapte aux changements de société. La réfection de la cuisine, par la célèbre agence Henning Larsen notamment, allie modernité et esthétique, offrant aux résidents la possibilité d'échanger et de penser l'avenir ensemble... Vivre avec son temps et pour longtemps.

It's 1928. Answering a call for projects, architect Kaj Gottlob draws up plans for what will become the Danish Student House in Paris. Could he ever have imagined that today's residents would be calling his student halls of residence « la Maison » ?

In the park of the century-old Cité Internationale Universitaire, the imposing brick building stands as a reassuringly sturdy presence, its sober and elegant functionalist architecture thought through down to the smallest detail. Its interior, a haven of light, calm and warmth, provides the ideal environment for study and communal living. In the spacious living room, the murals by Kraesten Iversen invite concentration and contemplation.

1928. Projektet er sat i gang. Arkitekten Kaj Gottlob tegner de første skitser til det, der skal blive Det Danske Studenterhus i Paris. Kunne han mon dengang forestille sig, at kollegiets residenter i dag ville kalde det « Huset », på fransk : « la Maison » ?

I Den Internationale Studenterbys hundrede år gamle park gør den markante murstensbygning stort indtryk. En enkel og elegant funktionalistisk arkitektur, gennemtaenkt til mindste detalje. Indenfor skaber de lyse, rolige og hyggelige rum gunstige rammer for arbejde og socialt samvaer. I den store salon indbyder Kraesten Iversens vaegmalerier til eftertaenksomhed og drømmeri.

Et sted, der tilpasser sig samfundets forandringer. Arkitektfirmaet Henning Larsens fornyelse af køkkenet forener modernitet og aestetik og giver residenterne et sted at mødes og samarbejde med tanke på en faelles fremtid... På at leve i sin tid, nu og fremover.
