Die Auswahl mit Arbeiten von 27 verschiedenen Künstlern stammt aus der Privatsammlung der Expertin Susan Pack. Einige Entwürfe setzten auf architektonische Elemente, andere wählten gewagte Layouts. Jeder Künstler hatte einen eigenen Stil, doch allen gemeinsam war das Bestreben, Hollywoodglamour durch stärkere, dynamischere, herausforderndere Bilder zu ersetzen, die oft von ungewöhnlichen Blickwinkeln und verstörenden Nahaufnahmen geprägt sind.
